Pastor Mike Purdon has dedicated 13 years of to our church, a journey marked by incredible growth and profound impact. Over the years, our congregation has seen remarkable transformations, from multiple school and rental locations in Grove City to the blessing of an expansive 18-acre property encompassing an impressive 20,000 square-foot building.

Under Pastor Mike's leadership, we have experienced the powerful hand of God, witnessing  many coming to Christ and the baptism of hundreds. Our spiritual family has flourished, creating a church of faith, love, and community.

Pastor Mike's story is one of calling and steadfast faith. His journey began at the age of 16 when he was saved, followed by a  surrender to God's calling into ministry during a Baptist Youth Camp (FUEL Camp). He embarked on a path of discipleship, honing his skills and deepening his understanding under the guidance of Dr. Charles Smith at Bible Baptist Church, Mt. Orab.

In 2000, Pastor Mike's personal life took a beautiful turn as he married his high school sweetheart, Kathy. Simultaneously, he accepted the role of youth director at Bible Baptist Church, West Union, where he faithfully served for a decade under the mentorship of Pastor Tim Carter. During this time, he actively engaged in various facets of ministry, enriching his experience and shaping his pastoral heart.

The turning point came in the summer of 2009 when God's purpose for the Purdon family became unmistakably clear—to move to Grove City, Ohio, and establish a new church. In June 2010, with unwavering faith, Mike, Kathy, and their four children made the move to Grove City to launch New Life Baptist Church, a vision fueled by a heart for the community.

Today, as we reflect on the incredible journey of our church, we are grateful for his unyielding dedication, vision, and the countless lives that have been transformed through his ministry. With God's grace and guidance, we eagerly anticipate the continued growth and blessings that lie ahead for New Life Baptist Church under Pastor Mike's inspired leadership.
